 : Search Engine Registration |

 |
So your site is built and hosted, so that - given the opportunity - anyone around the world with an Internet connection available to them may delight in its style and content.
That opportunity is clearly there for the select group of clients, associates and friends who have been provided with your web address, but for the rest of your potential viewing public the site needs to be presented as a result of their searching on a few appropriate keywords.
So, for example, Christie's, the famous London-based auctioneers has a web site at www.christies.com which can be found at or near the top of the list of returns for most Search Engines using "Christies", "Christie's" or "auctioneers London".
In order for this to be achieved, the appropriate information needs to be built into the site coding (see Web Site Services for more details), and then - ideally - the site needs to be registered with one or more chosen Search Engines in an appropriate category.
In fact, most Search Engines these days scour the Internet using automatic techniques, looking for new web sites to add to their directories, but this can take many months, and the site may then be wrongly categorised. Black Book Services therefore actively registers each new site with Google - the world's most-used and respected Search Engine - to ensure the site may be able to be found effectvely and in the shortest time. This service is provided free of charge.
e will also happily register your site with Yahoo and Ask - two more of the most important Search Engines in use in the UK and internationally - at no charge from ourselves, but these two Search Engines generally demand a registration fee.
If the subject of your site is in a crowded field, such as properties in Spain, or Internet marketing, you may wish to maximise your chances of being found by registering with the 'pay per click' facilities offered by many Search Engines, and we would be happy to advise you and help you with this. |
